In line with our sustainability goals, we are enhancing green spaces and biodiversity in our facilities. As part of this, in 2024 we established a pilot greenhouse and agricultural production area at our Karabük facility. In this project, where tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers are grown, we utilized natural soil improvement and efficient irrigation methods. With this project, we aim to strengthen the ecosystem within the industrial facility, support employee well-being, and reinforce the circular economy approach.
We consider the protection and enhancement of ecosystem values in the regions where we operate as a fundamental element of our sustainability approach. In this context, you can closely examine our efforts to protect natural life and biodiversity within the site through flora and fauna observations, natural habitat restoration studies, and environmental awareness-raising activities conducted around our facility.

We process the flue dust collected by industrial facilities through filtration methods, rendering it harmless to the environment by subjecting it to high-temperature treatment and a series of processes, and recovering the zinc oxide it contains for economic benefit.
Established with advanced and modern technology, Marmara Zinc Recycling produces in a much more environmentally friendly and efficient way compared to its counterparts around the world.
